To complete a literature review using Emotional Intelligence (EI) concepts, this researcher reviewed a broad selection of research and writings on Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) in the workplace. Literature was explored that might support the application of EI and related concepts to the improvement of workers' emotional/personality, cognitive/ academic, moral/ethical, and social/civic development. A variety of activities using EI concepts to promote workplace goals have been proposed.

This literature review examined how to overcome negative work environments. The review considered twelve popular books, and summarized key advice that most people can practically apply to their current situation of a negative working environment. The three main themes for overcoming a negative work environment revealed throughout the literature reviewed were: 1) accept ownership over the situation; 2) work to make the best of the current situation; and 3) take specific action to change the situation. This Capstone Project assesses and evaluates the current training programs offered to peer advisor candidates and returning peer advisors at St. John Fisher College. Survey research was completed through an online survey (see Appendix C). A theme analysis as well as a descriptive analysis was conducted based on the open-ended survey responses. In this literature review, family environments of low socioeconomic status (SES) students were examined and a comparison made in learning styles between low and high achievers Socioeconomic factors such as family income, education, and occupation play major role in the academic achievement of all students. This Capstone Project analyzes literature and research to prove whether or not cooperative learning increases student participation in the classroom. The literature supports that cooperative learning does increase participation within the classroom. The literature also supports positive social interaction, academic achievement and instructional effectiveness. Research was then conducted in a 6th grade social studies classroom to determine whether or not the use of various classroom strategies were effective in increasing participation. This study set out to determine the effects that bullying in the workplace has on individual victims and the organizations where they work. The literature review presents the current research and determines where there are gaps. A qualitative study establishes the effects of bullying on individuals and organizations. Several participants provided details of bullying events and how these events impacted their performance. The following study evaluates meeting efficiency in the Athletic Department at St. John Fisher College (SJFC). In order to determine how efficient their meetings are, two meetings were observed and five pre-test surveys were conducted. The surveys were held on a one-on-one basis and were created in order to receive input directly from staff members and the facilitator. Following this procedure, suggestions - based on research - were implemented on behalf of recommendations from the facilitator.
