A Model For Inservice Professional Development Of Educational Administrators, Rofithah Hashim Dec 1981

A Model For Inservice Professional Development Of Educational Administrators, Rofithah Hashim

The factor most influential in the decision to undertake this developmental study was a directive received from the Director General of Education, Ministry of Education, Malaysia. The second factor was the perception that the obsolescence of previously learned skills and understandings dictates a need for a systematic, comprehensive, and task-oriented inservice professional development of educational administrators within the contemporary system.

The purposes of this study were twofold. The first was to develop a model and the second was to propose a set of task descriptions appropriate and necessary for implementing the model.

The model developed has three crucial stages, i.e., …

A Study Of Job Satisfaction Of The Elementary School Secretary, John Raymond Chirco Dec 1981

A Study Of Job Satisfaction Of The Elementary School Secretary, John Raymond Chirco

Dissertations

The importance of the role of the elementary school secretary was established along with the findings that job satisfaction may be related to job performance. It was also pointed out that the relationship between job satisfaction and the independent variables that may be related to or influence it have not been identified. The research population consisted of 1,105 educators of the Guam school system. All the 34 principals, 16 assistant principals, and 14 administrators and 18 consultants of the central office …
