The purpose of this study was to develop an Instructional 16 mm color film on Greco-Roman wrestling moves, counters, and drills which would benefit those on all levels interested in the use of upperbody wrestling techniques. To achieve this objective it was necessary to determine the moves, counters and drills which are most successfully used in Greco-Roman wrestling. This was accomplished by means of a questionnaire and by personal interviews with nationally and internationally known coaches and competitors. Statement of Problem: Many students are excluded from participation in school athletic programs, and thus, from an opportunity to benefit from the educational experiences afforded. While playing ability would appear to be the most logical and common-sense criterion for the exclusion of certain students, a variety of psycho-social factors may also serve as important criteria upon which the exclusion and inclusion of athletes are based. To obtain information concerning the existence of such factors, an investigation was undertaken concerning player-coach compatibility and its role in cutting students from athletic squads.

The purpose of this study was to partially evaluate the effectiveness of a kindergarten perceptual-motor training program in regard to improvement of motor skills. In this evaluation the primary effort will be to measure those aspects of readiness which are closely related to the specific objectives of the perceptual motor training program. A secondary effort will be made to evaluate the general efforts of the training on aspects of readiness less closely related to the specific objectives of the program. This study was concerned with the effects of athletics on the athlete with reference to scholarship, discipline, holding power and character. Specifically, criteria were empirically selected by which each of the traits above could be judged both for athletes and non-athletes and statistical comparisons made between the athletes and non-athletes on each of the traits.

The hypothesis of this study was that boys between the ages of seven to nine playing Tee-ball would receive a significantly higher number of opportunities to learn baseball skills than boys playing in the Atom Leagues; and as a result of the greater number of opportunities to learn, Tee-ball would result in greater improvement than would Atom ball over one season.

The purpose of this study was to identify and evaluate the curent program of student teaching for men and women physical education majors at The University of New Mexico. The evaluation was based on the opinions and attitudes reflected by student teachers and cooperating teachers who participated in the program during a three semester duration, September 1967 through September 1968. Forty full-time teachers employed by the Albuquerque (New Mexico) Public Schools during the 1969-1970 academic school year were tested for levels of cardio-respiratory fitness and health understanding. A stratified random sampling technique was utilized to obtain ten subjects in each of the following categories: (a) male physical education teachers, (b) female physical education teachers, (c) male non-physical education teachers, and (d) female non-physical education teachers.
