Parenting The Gifted And Talented Child: A Qualitative Inquiry Of The Perceptions Of Mothers Regarding Their Unique Experiences In Raising Gifted And Talented Children, Mary F. Hidalgo

The lived experiences of mothers raising gifted and talented (G/T) children can differ from the lived experiences of mothers raising non-G/T children, and these unique experiences may spark concern, impact choices, and exacerbate stress and anxiety. The purpose of this study was to gather data in order to illustrate the distinctly defining experiences and perceptions of mothers currently raising G/T children as well as to consider both the internal and external factors affecting and influencing perspectives and self-efficacy.
