This practicum report focuses on an enrichment strategy designed and implemented by the author to increase the vocabulary of accelerated fourth grade students. There were two criteria to be met by members of the target selection. First, they had to excel in language arts as indicated by superior test scores on the county reading test. Secondly, each participant had language arts grades of excellent status as evaluated by the previous instructor. The writer developed and implemented a program that would improve the eighth grade girls' cardiovascular scores with aerobics. The practicum setting was a junior high school located in a southern urban metropolitan area. The program's aims helped the eighth grade girls to improve their cardiovascular fitness, to adapt to stress, have a good self-image, and. to improve their physical being. The author researched and adapted ways to promote responsibility for library books. The program's aims were to reduce and retrieve lost library books that were reported on the inventory check and to make students, parents, and teachers aware of the problems and the importance of being responsible library users. Introduction to the project was done in three stages. Presentations were made to staff (team) leaders who presented the plan to team members. Intercom announcements were made to the student body.
