The purpose of this quantitative, causal-comparative study was to determine if there is a difference in teacher burnout among the classroom assignments of general education, special education self-contained, and special education resource/inclusion teachers teaching in sixth through 12th grade. Burnout continues to plague the education system. There is a sense of urgency in understanding how to address burnout as the NEA has reported a one-year increase from 37% to 55% of teachers considering leaving the education field. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to understand doctoral students’ experiences participating in an online doctoral program at a university. The study was conducted to answer the central research question: What are the experiences of online doctoral students who attended a program requiring a dissertation? The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to understand the phenomenon of novice elementary teachers’ sense of preparedness incorporating technology into instruction within South-Central Pennsylvania school districts. The theory guiding this study was Albert Bandura’s theory of self-efficacy as it relates to novice elementary teachers’ self-efficacy and perceived preparedness with incorporating technology into instruction. The qualitative research method was used along with a transcendental phenomenological approach to understand the phenomenon. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study is to understand perseverance in young single mothers who have earned a college degree. The theory guiding this study is Duckworth’s theory of grit since many students who complete undergraduate degrees experience barriers related to the components of grit. Participants for this study were single mothers who have completed a college degree from an institution of higher learning in central Pennsylvania by the age of thirty. The purpose of this qualitative, phenomenological study was to understand the factors that are related to low morale and retention as described by teachers who work in a rural, poverty-stricken school in Middle Georgia. The problem addressed in this study was high teacher attrition in rural, poverty-stricken schools. The theories guiding this study were Herzberg’s motivation-hygiene, two-factor theory, and Maslow’s theory of motivation. The purpose of this hermeneutic phenomenological study was to describe occupational stress and burnout as experienced by K–2 elementary educators in central Pennsylvania postpandemic. The theories guiding this study were Lazarus and Folkman’s transactional model of stress and coping and Lazarus’s cognitive-motivational-relational theory of emotion, which provided a framework for understanding how educators process occupational stress. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to discover the perceived spirituality and persistence for Jamaican women who had received a tertiary degree at schools in Jamaica. At this stage in the research, a tertiary degree was generally defined as all formal post-secondary education, including public and private universities, colleges, technical training institutes, and vocational schools. The purpose of this transcendental phenomenological study was to describe the lived experiences of former high school dropouts in the Continental United States who self-determined to persist to doctoral degree attainment. The theory that guided this study was the self-determination theory with support from the self-efficacy theory and adult learning theory.
