Academic librarians face a challenge: how to use assessment methods to demonstrate the value of library instruction to library and campus administrators. This presentation will emphasis the importance of using multiple, direct and indirect assessment methods in order to triangulate results and will give applications from real-world assessment studies. It will also examine the appropriateness of various assessment methods, as well as the use of both rubrics and statistical analysis when assessing instruction effectiveness.
