Ambiguity in speech is a possible barrier to the acquisition of knowledge for students who have print disabilities (such as blindness, visual impairments, and some specific learning disabilities) and rely on auditory input for learning. Chemistry appears to have considerable potential for being spoken ambiguously and may be a barrier to accessing knowledge and to learning. The purpose of this mixed-methods study was to explore preservice teachers’ perceptions of integrating technology into writing instruction before and after a methods course and the experiences in a methods course that, according to the preservice teachers, influenced these perceptions. Participants were enrolled in two sections of a Teaching Language and Composition course. Data collected included an adapted Likert-scale pre and posttest survey, and focus group interviews. Preservice teachers self-reported salient course experiences, and also discussed the affordances and tensions they felt in thinking about how to use technology to teach writing. In this paper, we report on the findings of a research study that sought to answer the following questions: (i) How do current nursing students’ perceptions compare with those of actual working nurses regarding the mathematics and technology demands involved in nursing?; and, (ii) What types of course structures, content, pedagogy, or other recommendations could more effectively prepare nurses for the realities of the workplace in light of mathematics and technology demands? The purpose of this investigation is to identify the technological barriers teachers encounter when attempting to implement video modeling in the classroom. Video modeling is an emerging evidence-based intervention method used with individuals with autism. Research has shown the positive effects video modeling can have on its recipients. Educators working with individuals with autism have encountered numerous barriers when implementing video modeling as an intervention strategy. Therefore, this project attempts to discover potential barriers on the topic of video modeling and possible solutions to the problem.

As technological advances increase in higher education, there are increased opportunities to prevent cheating and promote academic integrity. Up to 90% of undergraduate and graduate students have reported cheating, and many students believe that academic dishonesty has become second nature (Stuber-McEwen, Wiseley & Hoggatt, 2009). An intentional effort to promote learning and growth for students and the institution is important for reputation, workplace honesty, and academic freedom. This paper identifies changes in the technological landscape of academic honor.
