Implementasi Dan Permasalahan Dalam Implementasi Permendiknas Nomor 2 Tahun 2008 Tentang Buku, Lina Miftahul Jannah, Muh Azis Muslim, Eko Sakapurnama

Jurnal Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi Permendiknas Nomor 2 Tahun 2002 tantang buku dan mendeskripsikan masalah-masalah yang ditimbulkannya. Pene-litian dilaksanakan dengan metode campuran kuantitatif dan kualitatif di Kota Depok, Kabupaten Cianjur, Kota Makassar, dan Kabupaten Maros dengan menggunakan angket, wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terfokus untuk mengumpul-kan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi Permendiknas yang bertujuan untuk menyediakan buku murah dan berkualitas bagi masyarakat belum sepenuhnya tercapai. Terdapat beragam masalah dalam pelaksanaannya antara lain minimnya sosialisasi, tidak memadainya infra-struktur teknologi informasi, ketidaksesuaian materi dengan kurikulum, rendahnya kualitas cetakan, dan Permendiknas dianggap sebagai kebijakan elitis yang mematikan iklim persaingan usaha.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: menemukan model penguatan sikap tindak wirausaha melalui pemberdayaan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Semarang, Propinsi Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan sample dilakukan secara purposif sampling, dengan pertimbangan sekelompok subyek yang memiliki karakteristik: sebagai anggota KWT kategori proaktif, reaktif dan nonaktif; memiliki status sosial ekonomi rendah, berdomisili di Kabupaten Semarang. Jumlah sample 198 orang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan (Action Research), yang diharapkan menghasilkan model dan modul pemberdayaan KWT. The relationship between pre-university students and technology is frequently overrated. While we receive glowing reports about how young people are knowledgeable about computers, the truth is that their knowledge is typically about computer content and the manipulation of applications. Young students too often treat the actual programming and understanding of computers as a sort of magical mystery.

Abstract This paper clarifies the cumulative impact of the current national education policy on African-American children, which ultimately aims to limit local control of urban schools. The authors argue that urban schools in the United States are increasingly required to rely upon temporary teachers who are trained to implement a curriculum focused on standardized testing. The No Child Left Behind Act and the current Duncan administration’s approach to closing (and re-opening) schools combines to further exclude low-income community involvement in local schools. In her 1938 epistolary novel and educational treatise, Three Guineas, Virginia Woolf discusses “freedom from unreal loyalties” as key to educating for peace rather than for war, as was the concern in Woolf’s time and remarkably remains of serious concern seventy-odd years later. This essay analyzes how modern-day, post-9/11 U.S. public education is influenced by a whole range of unreal loyalties and, in fact, how we as educators reify and reinscribe these. The current era of standards and accountability in U.S. public schooling narrows recognition and assessment to an almost exclusive focus on the production of test scores as legitimate markers of student achievement. This climate prevents rather than encourages democratic forms of exchange within and across social worlds. Via a case study of one student’s experience in a project on the civil rights movement, I present the concept of unalienated recognition to describe a form of democratic exchange that centers on what students produce through community-based projects.

Agriculture operations benefit from the employment of Mexican immigrants through government programs that supply workers to the industry. Therefore, many crawfish farm operations in Louisiana employ both U.S. citizen and Mexican immigrant labor to operate efficiently. The purpose of this study was to compare selected characteristics of farm workers as well as to explore values related to education, as sorted by citizenship and ethnicity. The results of this study indicated significant differences in Mexican immigrant and Caucasian U.S. citizen crawfish farmers’ educational backgrounds and demographic characteristics, while finding that both groups held similar values about education. Biotechnology offers benefits, but few developing countries have approved genetically engineered (GE) crops. Extension educational programs could help prepare stakeholders in developing countries to influence biotechnology policies. Michigan State University (MSU) developed a two-week course that was taught 14 times from 2002 to 2010 for 251 participants from 58 developing countries. This course helped form an international network of biotechnology specialists who collaborate with stakeholders.

This paper reports on a partnership approach preparing pre-service primary teachers to teach science. Partnerships involving pre-service teachers and volunteer in-service colleagues were formed to teach science in the classroom of the colleague, with support from the science education lecturer. Each pre-service teacher collaboratively planned and delivered a sequence of at least six science lessons over six weeks.

An earlier paper reported on how the program affected the confidence of the pre-service teachers. Over three iterations, 61 in-service teachers from 23 local schools participated.

This article discusses the findings from a case study focusing on processes involving pupils to bring about health-promotion changes. The study is related to an EU intervention project aiming to promote health and well-being among children (4–16 years). Qualitative research was carried out in a school in the Netherlands. Data sources include project documents, interviews, and observations. Thematic analysis was carried out combining the different data sources. The case study shows that, if given sufficient guidance, children can act as agents of health-promoting changes. The main arena for youth influence was the pupil council.
