Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan pendidikan akhlak Islami dalam lingkungan keluarga, pendidikan akhlak Islami dalam lingkungan sekolah, pengaruh teman bermain serta pengaruh masing-masing terhadap pelaksanaan nilai-nilai akhlak Islami oleh para siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Kodya Mataram.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah para siswa Madrasah Aliyah Negeri I Kodya Mataram, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 214 siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner dan pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik stratified random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskripuf dan analisis regresi.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami dan menganalisis gejala-gejala yang menentukan mobilitas penyandang tunanetra. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan ialah kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologis naturalistik dan desain studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan teknik pengamatan berperanserta, wawancara mendalam, dan analisis dokumen yang relevan dengan mobilitas para penyandang tunanetra. Temuan penelitian ini adalah: pada awal hidup mereka penyandang tunanetra sulit menerima kenyataan sebagai penyandang tunanetra; akhirnya para penyandang tunanetra dapat menemukan jati diri mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang jelas tentang: 1) hambatan sufisme terliadap pendidikan kognitif. dan 2) sumbangan sufisme terliadap pendidikan afektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dan menggunakan prosedur analisis isi. Sumber data utama adalah kitab A l-Risalah al-Qusyaihyyah.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pertunjukan musik sebagai fokus pembelajaran ansambel musik terhadap prestasi hasil belajar musik khususnya aspek psikomotor dan makna hasil belajar, dibandingkan dengan proses pembelajaran ansambel musik dengan focus pembelajaran berupa teknik bermain ansambel musik.
Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Seni Musik FBS Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Adapun teknik pengambilan sample dengan purposive sampling, sedangkan desain penelitiannya adalah the completely randomized single factor experiment atau kovariansi acak lengkap satu faktor. Populasi penelitian meliputi semua staf Pusat Diklat Kehutanan dan Perkebunan Bogor, Balai Latihan Kehutanan Rumpin - Bogor, Balai Latihan Kehutanan Kadipaten. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan PPD-II PGSD ditinjau dari komponen: kurikulum; mahasiswa; tutor dan supervisor; organisasi dan mekanisme pengelolaan program; sarana dan prasirana tutorial; lingkungan tutorial; proses pembimbingan PKM; dan prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Pendekatan dan model evalusai menggunakan pendekatan proses dan model CIPP.
Sumber informasi diperoleh dari pengelola program, tutor. supervisor PKM, dan mahasiswa PPD-II PGSD di Kabupaten Jombang. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen angket, didukung wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasi. Validitas instrumen diperoleh melalui validasi instrumen dan uji coba instrumen. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dengan distribusi frekuensi dan persentase, selanjutnya diinterprestasi dan dibahas secara kualitatif.

Tingkat Keberhasilan Siswa Smkt Dalam Pelaksanaan Psg Di Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, Alimuddin Sa'ban Miru, Sukamto Sukamto

Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa tingkat keberhasilan siswa persentasenya berada pada taraf sedang. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa ubahan ketersediaan fasilitas praktik industri memberi kontribusi yang paling tinggi terhadap tingkat keberhasilan siswa dalam pelaksanaan PSG, yakni 6,7 persen. Kemudian, secara berturut-turut diketahui keterlibatan pembimbing industri sebesar 5,6 persen, keterlibatan kepala sekolah sebesar 3,1 persen, ketersediaan fasilitas praktik sekolah sebesar 1,7 persen, dan keterlibatan guru pembimbing sekolah sebesar 1,2 persen. Artikel ini menyajikan laporan tentang analisis model pembinaan moral keagamaan anggota Jamaah Zikir Istighotsah di Yogyakarta. Hal ini diharapkan akan dapat dipergunakan untuk menyempurnakan model pembinaan tersebut.

Portfolios have been used in many fields of study to highlight the best work of individuals. In teacher education, portfolios serve as an authentic assessment, in that they contain artifacts representative of the preservice teacher’s performance in the classroom. As teachers are accountable for an in-depth understanding and implementation of teaching standards, portfolios can become the avenue for documenting how these standards are being met. Increasing use of computers in schools has led to a mis-alignment between the way some students develop skill and knowledge and how they are tested. This paper reviews past research that demonstrates that paper-based tests that require students to produce written responses underestimate the achievement of students who are accustomed to writing on computer. The paper then explores how learning that occurs through other instructional uses of computers is not adequately captured by current testing practices. The paper argues that new approaches should be explored to better measure student learning.

Education reform has spawned efforts to test learning across the nation. This paper analyzes the determinants of Massachusetts’ school district test scores under the state’s high stakes testing program, MCAS. The study is the first to demonstrate direct links between improvements in MCAS scores and state aid to school districts. The authors estimate “value added” for each school district in the state. The list of schools with high value added produces real surprises — while some affluent districts do well, others rank at the very bottom. Christian colleges wrestle with the creation and maintenance of regulations for correct behavior of campus members (lifestyle agreements). Using theoretical considerations as well as specific application examples, a way is presented to create a lifestyle agreement that is internally consistent and fits the needs of the campus. Specifically, the effect of external constituencies, organizational efficiency, and, most importantly, efforts to develop community, are used to guide the construction of lifestyle agreements. While very specific examples are given, no effort is made to create a one-size-fits-all set of codes. Instead, a framework is constructed to allow a campus to develop a …

As students are increasingly influenced by postmodern thought, which promotes ideas of community without a common center and emphasizes difference, so students may have fresh conceptualizations of what community is and how it functions. This study explored students' conceptions, experiences, and ideals of community.
The tension between commonality and diversity within community has caused much debate in the social sciences. Interviewees, who were students at member institutions of the CCCU, recognize the same tension and often struggle to navigate their relationships within a collegiate environment that promotes both.

This article is a transcription of an address presented by Dr. David McKenna at a recent pre-conference workshop at an ACPA conference. The workshop was sponsored by ACSD in conjunction with the annual prayer breakfast. Dr. McKenna shared insights gleaned from his more than thirty years of service in Christian higher education including three presidential posts. The article focuses on two areas. The question of why more high school students do not go on to college has been the focus of recent research at the Mitchell Institute. Quint and Plimpton summarize this research, which involved more than 2,500 Maine students, educators and parents. They find that financial barriers are only one piece of a complicated puzzle. Other barriers include parental attitudes, whether any family members have attended college, the high school experience (i.e., what track the student is placed in), the quality of career planning in school and at home, and the level of active planning for college (while many students say …

Why Makik Can "Do" Math: Race And Status In Integrated Classrooms, Jacqueline Leonard, Scott Jackson Dantley

This case study reports on the small group interactions and achievements of Malik, an African American sixth grader, who attended a Maryland elementary school in 1997. Student achievement was measured by the Maryland Functional Mathematics Test (MFMT-I), which was given on a pre/post basis. Students' scores on the MFMT-I were analyzed using the ANOVA. The analysis revealed a significant difference (F = 3-330, p < .05) between the scores of Caucasian (M = 342.12) and African American students (M = 323-56). However, Malik's MFMT-I score rose from 293 to 353. A passing score is 340. This study examines Malik's interactions to ascertain what factors influenced his achievement. The findings are that Malik had a positive attitude about mathematics and a strong command of mathematical and scientific language. Recommendations are that teachers become cultural brokers to help all children learn the "language" of mathematics and encourage all students to become self-advocates to overcome negative social dynamics in small groups.

High-stakes mathematics tests continue to gain popularity in the United States, with an increasing number of states setting the passing of such tests as a high school graduation requirement. Consequently, instruction and instructional content have changed, with teachers emphasizing materials on the test while neglecting other important aspects of learning. The tests have become all-consuming, taking over many students' lives. Yet students are often ill prepared for these tests. This is even more true for African-American students whose cultural and social circumstances make their preparation for high-stakes tests inadequate and ineffective.
