Assessing Student Misconceptions Of The Electrical Potential Of Spherical Conductors, Saif Alneyadi

International Journal for Research in Education

The purpose of this study was to identify and assess the misconceptions of grade 12 students in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) concerning the electrical potential of spherical conductors in physics. This study employed a two-tier multiple choice testing strategy to assess student misconceptions. The participants consisted of 200 grade 12 science students, including 100 male and 100 female students, drawn from UAE public high schools. The findings showed that the students held a variety of misconceptions regarding the electrical potential of spherical conductors.
