The focus of the following paper is bibliotherapy and its application in the classroom. Presented in the project are: (a) issues educators face today and the respective need for bibliotherapy; (b) history and previous research regarding bibliotherapy and its use; (c) a description of what procedures were taken to complete the research project; (d) a handbook for educators about bibliotherapy and the incorporation of strategies in the classroom; and (e) a reflection and synopsis of the entire research project.

Howard Gardner first proposed his theory of Multiple Intelligence theory in 1983. Over the past two decades this theory has made its way into classrooms and has gained positive attention. However, with the restrictions of set curriculums and standardized testing, Multiple Intelligence theory has faced obstacles implementing fully into the classroom. To effectively apply this theory into the classroom there needs to be openness to differences within the classroom and how students learn. Advantages of Looping at the Elementary Level Recently, looping has been getting attention from educators and educational reformers as a low cost, easily implemented way to improve education. In this project, the author created an inservice presentation designed as an introduction to the practice of looping at the elementary level. The target audience was elementary teachers and administrators. The presentation provided a brief history of the practice of looping, the theory behind the practice, a synthesis of the benefits and possible challenges of looping, and finally, several tips and considerations for the implementation of looping.
