A Broken Colleague: A Journey Of Professional Recovery (Awaiting Publication), Lisa Beymer

Hired as a full-time faculty member at the University at the ripe age of 26, I have a unique perspective on the journey into employment in higher education. Side-stepping the perceived lack of experience that I am often confronted by, the list of opportunities I have benefited from over the past decade is deep and wide. This reality makes a compelling introduction for the words that I write in the subsequent pages, allowing myself to reflect upon and feel very openly about my former reality as a broken colleague. It is through this reflection that I transcend.
