This study aimed at identifying the impediments and requirements of the research partnership between the Egyptian universities and the private sector. It also aimed at identifying the experiences of some of the developed countries in this respect. This study is expected to aid in visualizing the activation of the research partnership between the Egyptian universities and the private sector. The study made use of the descriptive approach based on the distribution of a questionnaire to 357 of faculty staffs in the universities of Cairo, Assiut, and Janub Al-Wadi.
