Youth sport participation in our society is on the rise, with 90% of children taking part in some form of organized sport between the ages of 5 and 17. With more children becoming more active in sporting activities, the role of par ents can impact parent/child communication and mold the character of the child. Parents with p ositive involvement in their child’s activities emphasized skills such as hard work and team building rather than winning or losing.
