This capstone project investigates the implementation of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles in a seventh grade Social Studies classroom through teaching and assessing multiple skills, such as analyzing multiple perspectives in a text. The topic of the four-week unit was the Scientific Revolution and the European Age of Exploration. To meet the unique needs of all learners, the curriculum was differentiated. The students completed a pre-test, several formative assessments, and two summative assessments to assess learning.
