Discussion boards are Web 2.0 tools that can extend classroom learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze the discussion board dialogue and student perceptions of discussion board use of five graduate classes on two campuses. Are there similarities in student perceptions about discussion board use? Data from class discussion board dialogues, open-ended and Likert survey questions were collected and analyzed for common trends and themes.
