The study aimed at exploring the level of awareness of grade 10 students about UNESCO associated and non-UNESCO associated government schools in the Sultanate of Oman regarding the dimensions of the purple economy. The study deployed the descriptive approach and data was collected using a 55-item scale. The items were divided into three main components: the cognitive component, the emotional component, and the behavioral component. The validity of the scale was obtained using the correlation coefficient of each dimension with the overall instrument. This study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of Robinson's strategy (SQ3R) on developing reading comprehension skills of basic eighth grade students. The researchers prepared a list of reading comprehension skills for eighth grade students, a reading comprehension test, and a strategy guide to help teachers implement the strategy. The sample of the study was divided into two groups; experimental group, which studied reading using Robinson’s strategy and a control group which studied reading in the regular way. The Prediction Of Social Self-Concept Through Parenting Styles As Perceived By Students Of Second Basic Education In The Sultanate Of Oman, Fahima Alsaidi, Said Al-Dhafri

This study aimed to predict social self-concept through parenting styles as perceived by students in grades (6-10) of the basic education in the Sultanate of Oman. The sample included 509 students randomly selected from different school districts. The participants responded to the social self-concept questionnaire and the parenting authority questionnaire. The results indicated that the sample had high levels of social self-concept and parenting styles, except for the permissive style of father and mother.
