Implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions And Supports: School Counselors' Perceptions Of Student Outcomes, School Climate And Professional Effectiveness, Margaret Donohue

Abstract School-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (SWPBIS) is a framework utilized by more than 18,000 schools in the United States. Middle and high school SWPBIS leadership teams are usually composed of administrators, school counselors, school psychologists, school social workers, special educators and general educators. The purpose of this study was to understand middle and high school counselors’ perceptions of the impact of SWPBIS. The Delphi methodology was used to gain agreement on changes to student outcomes, school climate, and school counselor effectiveness.
