The purpose in this thesis is to present the technique established in teaching classes of one hundred (80-120) in mathematics and to compare the student progress with the progress made by those in small classes of the entire department. In this study the pupils have not been assigned, either to the large class (100) or the small classes (35), in any special way. In every instance, the assignment to classes has been to suit the pupil's program or the programs of the school.
