This quantitative study examined academic achievement of seventh grade students from a local school district in Cincinnati, OH. Academic achievement and physical activity are both of importance and beneficial to an individual. Specifically, the purpose of this study was to determine whether students who are participating in school-based physical education (P.E.) courses exhibited higher academic achievements. The sample consisted of 290 seventh grade students for the school year (2015-2016), 312 for the school year (2016-2017), and 339 for the school year (2017-2018).
