The purpose of this study was not to determine all those attitudes which affect a student’s decision to remain in or leave the college. It was rather to survey the attitudes and opinions of the members of a group which had already left the college before completion of their studies insofar as Central Washington College was concerned. Three factors were determined on the basis of their proximity to the lives of the students and their concomitant effect on the attitudes of those students.
