The Covid-19 outbreak was an unexpected pandemic that first appeared in Wuhan, China. This virus has spread rapidly to over 150 countries causing tens and thousands of deaths. The English classroom has become challenging in this age. Not only are teachers expected to instruct students in the specifics of standard university English concepts and requirements but must also now combat post-truth. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic condition that impacts 29 million people in the United States. Diabetes is a disease that develops when one's body becomes resistant to insulin, resulting in abnormal metabolism of carbohydrates, and the blood glucose levels are increased. If hyperglycemia is not managed, it will result in complications. Management of stress is significant in diabetic patients because stressing intensifies diabetes. The majority of type 2 diabetes patients are overwhelmed with managing the disease, and when they can’t control their blood glucose, it results in depression and anxiety. The Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota is home to one of the poorest populations in the United States. Running Strong for American Indian Youth has provided resources for over thirty years to the reservation. One of the co-founders, Billy Mills, has made it his life’s mission to give back to the community he came from. He overcame a difficult childhood to achieve his dreams and chose to use his success to help others. This poster demonstrates the life and accomplishments of Billy Mills that have led him to his philanthropic success.
