Today's academic advising delivery models vary considerably and little is known about the efficiency and effectiveness of these models. The purpose of this study was to determine if there is a relationship between how academic advising is delivered to first-year students at a four-year public, high research activity university located on the west coast and the students' satisfaction with advising, advising learning outcomes, and retention. The aim of the present study was to examine the influence of teaching metacognitive reading strategies on the reading self-efficacy beliefs of Iranian EFL learners. To this end, 90 upper-intermediate students (50 females and 40 males) were selected in several English language institutes in Shiraz, Iran. A pre-test of reading and a pre-test of reading self-efficacy beliefs were administered to the students to make sure about the homogeneity of their reading ability and their reading self-efficacy beliefs. The point estimate of economies of scope is a nonlinear combination of estimated coefficients
from an empirical model. This estimate usually involves out-of-sample predictions when calculating the
separate costs (as a part of the calculation of economies of scope). These difficulties make it hard to give the
precise prediction and to calculate the standard deviation of this estimate along with its confidence intervals.
In this paper, we demonstrate methods for constructing the confidence interval for economies of scope to
allow researchers to draw inferences from estimated economies of scope. We review the common approaches

Understanding subconscious biases, their pervasiveness, and their impact on perceptions, interactions, and analyses, helps prepare lawyers to represent people from cultural and racial backgrounds different from their own, and to address both individual and institutional injustice. Two law student surveys suggest many students believe lawyers are less susceptible than clients to having, or acting upon, stereotypes or biases. The survey results also indicate that many students suffer from bias blind spot – i.e. they believe that while others cannot recognize when they are acting based upon stereotypical beliefs and biases, the students know when they are doing so. The article here deals with the derivation of a general expression to calculate the volume of tetrahedron/pyramid bounded by a given plane & the co-rdinate planes (i.e. XY-plane, YZ-plane & ZX-plane) using intercept form of equation of a plane in 3-D space. This investigation compared the influence of public and Christian high schools on the spiritual formation and academic achievement of college students. Recent high school graduates who attend a private, liberal arts university in the southeastern United States responded to an online survey and interview questions related to the influence of one’s high school experience on spiritual formation and academic achievement. This paper describes the development of two inquiry-based experiments in a mechanical engineering curriculum at a land grant research-intensive university, aimed at providing students with the opportunity to design and perform experiments. One experiment in engineering measurements (system behavior) and one experiment in fluid dynamics were developed. In each case, students working on teams were posed with a scenario and question to answer. For example, in the system dynamics experiment, students were asked to verify that a thermal system and electrical system were mechanically equivalent systems. This collaborative paper draws on Jacques Derrida’s philosophical notion of the “archive” to argue that reading in the classroom becomes a historical and institutional activity that animates the archive as a method of organizing and referring to texts. Thus, instruction centers on intertextuality between and among texts—as in close reading, citation, quotation, and cross-referencing. The paper argues that undertaking library research means looking beyond the book to emphasize the contingent nature of the archive, focusing on the methods of information transmission and the cultural production of knowledge.
