This student-run weekly newspaper was known simply as R.I.S.D., or RISD Paper. The RISD Paper ran through the late 1960s and into the 1970s. The issue of October 29, 1969 had an article about Painting students needing more studio space. Also there was an article about Woods Gerry mansion being renovated for administration offices and gallery space. President Rantoul and the RISD Board of Trustees would have to decide about this on October 29.

The issue of October 27, 1969 included an article about student activism at RISD and through-out the US. A meeting was organized for RISD students for campus space issues. A calendar of events was also included for RISD students.

This student-run weekly newspaper was known simply as R.I.S.D., or RISD Paper. The RISD Paper ran through the late 1960s and into the 1970s. This issue from October 10, 1969 featured a letter from a student at WPI who wanted to have a newspaper column exchange and a short article about a sick child in Providence. Also there was a journal entry and information about College Work Study. Photos, a poem and a calendar of events for RISD students were also included.

The issue of October 13, 1969 included articles about the plight of farm workers and the California Grape Boycott. There was a short piece by John Torres, RISD sculpture faculty about Black art. Student activism and a calendar for the moratorium events was also included. A calendar of events for RISD students was also in this issue.

Paper presented as part of the Eleventh Annual Conference of the Australasian Political Studies Association (APSA), 28th-30th August, 1969, University of Sydney. It is of historical interest, being an early exploration and evaluation of the Australian New Left by activist/participant/analyst Rowan Cahill (b. 1945- ). It predates more widely cited sources and authorities, and has been a difficult source to locate due to the limited nature of its original distribution.

The Designer's News was a student-run weekly newspaper published in the late 1960s. The issue of May 19-25, 1969 featured an article about the RISD Landscape Architecture department's study to save Block Island, RI. There also was an interview with John Torres about summer programs at RISD and at a school in Vermont, and an article about a RISD photo student who taught local pre-teens about photography. Also included was an article about the Rhode Island Art Festival and some RISD students who were volunteering their time to help.
