The purpose of this study and report is to determine the present status of health teaching in the elementary schools of the Stockton Unified School District. The results of this study should serve to stimulate better teaching methods and to indicate further study toward the improvement of health teaching curriculum. Health instruction has been a part of school curricula for many years. This study will locate the subject area in which health teaching in the Stockton elementary schools.
