It is no secret young adults, no matter where in the world they come from, face social pressures with the potential to be isolating. Drawing students from an international audience, some higher education institutions are educating global leaders through business school programs. This is an instrumental case study of one such program€”the Global Masters of Business Administration (Global MBA) at Korea University Business School. This dissertation analyzed interviews, onsite observations, and documents with the concepts of globalisms and cosmopolitanism as a framework. the findings uncovered programmatic features designed to educate global leaders and participant considerations of global leader characteristics. the conclusion situated these considerations and findings within existing leadership theory and placed the case as an example of shared cosmopolitanism and global leader education …

The Korea Foundation for the Next Generation Sports Talent (NEST) and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville have been collaborating to foster global sports talent through academic cooperation and have been interacting to reeducate retired South Korean elite athletes since December, 2008. The purpose of the partnership is to create mutual international understandings between the two parties. This study explores the intended/initial goals of the partnership and whether these goals have changed (if so how and why) or remained the same.
