Statement of the problem: It was the purpose of this study (1) to compare, by means of sensory rhythm capacity and dance skill, those persons who had had one or less years of musical experience with those who had five or more years of musical experience; (2) to compare sensory rhythm capacity scores with skill grades in dance to determine what correlation, if any, exists between sensory rhythm capacity and dance skill; (3) to determine whether rhythm perception increases after a quarter of dance--tap, folk, and square, and modern.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the reading achievement of color blind children at the end of the first-grade in five randomly selected Albuquerque Public Elementary Schools to determine if there are any significant differences in their reading achievement and that of color vision children with similar I.Q. scores and to find if there is a relationship between this defect of vision and reading achievement.

It was the purpose of this study to consider materials for enrichment and supplemental purposes to strengthen the present reading program as it now exists in the Castle Rock Elementary School. The writer has found, however, that while materials do have a prominent role in reading, materials alone can not support an adequate program unless a more complete picture of the reading process is established and operating. This study will therefore concern itself with supplemental and enrichment materials as an integral part of the complete program and not necessarily as entities in themselves.

Much has been done since World War II to propagate and develop instructional aids for general education. Many of these have been specifically designed to fit the industrial arts areas. However, some industrial arts instructors seem unaware of the possibilities inherent in instructional aids. This paper, then, is an attempt to (1) describe and evaluate several specific teaching aids and (2) use these examples to show some possible roles of teaching aids in industrial arts.
