This study is about investigating the effects of guided writing strategies on Arab students' EFL narrative writing skills and their perceptions regarding the use of such a strategy. For the study, a quasi-experimental design was used to obtain data from 30 EFL fifth-grade students in an American-curriculum school in Al Ain, UAE. Participants were divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental group. Data were collected using a questionnaire survey and a writing test containing a set of criteria for narrative writing skills. This study aims at identifying the perceptions of teachers in public schools in

Al Ain Educational Office about the frequency of principals’ practices of instructional leadership.

It also aims to discover the effect of gender on practicing instructional leadership. This quantitative study used Hallinger Principal Instructional Management Rating Scale (PIMRS). This scale consists of (71) subscales involving (11) dimensions in instructional leadership in its final Arabic form.

This study investigated the use of Arabic in teaching English as a foreign language from the perspectives of English language teachers in the context of Al-Ain public schools in United Arab Emirates. The QUAN-QUAL model (triangulation) was employed in which the quantitative and qualitative data were concurrently collected throughout the study.
