This thesis deals with the application of simple oxyacetylene welding techniques to the secondary art curriculum. Welded sculptural forms in sheet steel have been the focus of my own work during the past three years and these experiences formed the basis or background of the presentation of these skills to secondary students. An instructional unit was designed to fulfill three primary objectives. Black Attitudes Towards Social Affiliation With Whites And Its Influence On Academic Achievement, Alvin Finderson

If blacks are to compete successfully in white academia, they must be able to communicate and interact with white students and professors. Acceptance of middle-class white students with an academic achievement orientation, as friends and equals, should enable or assist blacks in developing positive attitudes toward academic achievement. This in turn should positively affect scholastic performance. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between black attitudes toward social affiliation with whites and successful academic performance on integrated campuses.

The Development And Evaluation Of A Children's Gospel Principles Course, Lynn R. Applegate

This thesis is the description, defense and critique of a course developed to teach gospel principles to 7- through 9-year-old children. The development process through which the course went, its formative evaluations and summative evaluation are described. The summative evaluation employed the pretest-posttest control group design. Thirty children, ages 7 through 9, were in the evaluation. After the pretest, 15 of the children were taught the 19-lesson course by their parents during a 23-day period. A statistical comparison of the mean pretest-posttest gain scores for the experimental group could significantly more accurately identify examples and non examples of fatih, agency, …

STATEMENT OF PROBLEM

This paper deals with the problem of developing and writing a grant proposal following the Title IV, Elementary and Secondary Education Act guidelines.

PROCEDURE

The writer explains the procedure she followed to develop her idea into the final project proposal that was submitted to the Title IV, ESEA office. Included in this narrative are: an explanation of how the proper funding was located, the development of the project, a copy of the evaluation process used by the Title IV office to determine which projects are funded, and copies of the·final evaluations of the project proposal.
