Fostering strong relationships with students is a pedagogical approach which can benefit both students and teachers. This research analyzed the application of this methodology in classrooms with students aged pre-k to 12. Based on this research, teacher student relationships can positively benefit student outcomes in academic, behavioral, and social emotional areas. The findings show how to establish these strong relationships, how relationships are a tool for classroom management and how relationships affect student motivation.

The achievement gap between English Language Learners and their peers has emerged as a problem in our nation's school system. Although the Theory of Multiple Intelligences has been used in education, it is not often applied to English Language Learners. This research analyzed the application of Multiple Intelligence Theory as it pertained to the achievement of EL’s. The results show that by using MI to dictate what teaching method to use, EL’s benefited both socio-emotionally and academically. Understanding The Effects Of Collaborative Rti Practices On Student Outcomes, Sarah Baker

Response to intervention (RTI) has been a methodology used with special needs students since 2004; however, RTI can be used in all types of classrooms including speech-language pathology classrooms. RTI is considered a beneficial framework for speech therapy classrooms when implemented correctly. Based on the research found, RTI is most successful when implemented using collaborative practices among school staff, parents, and other teachers. Overall, the implications discuss the value of properly educating teachers on RTI and facilitating strategies for collaborative practices between school staff and families. These implications result in successful student outcomes for speech-language pathology students.

Teaching experience is only valuable when we reflect on our practices as professors. This reflection should expand our realization of the challenges we face in the classroom.As faculty, we have an obligation to our students and to ourselves to participate in continued assessment of our teaching philosophy.Not only is it important to do so from a pedagogical perspective, it reminds us of our responsibility to inform our students through evidence-based practices and the science of our respective disciplines.
