This article elaborates key aspects of the imagist poetry of twentieth century American poets E. Pound, A. Lowell and H. Doolittle. Twentieth century Imagism belongs to a literary movement in American modern era that is characterized by a tendency to break from the past of traditional literary styles, to a movement that reflects the simplicity, clarity and precision of reflective images.
