Abstract:

This study examined the leadership behaviors styles among academic leaders in universities at Nothern region and their relationship to thinking styles according to the integrated thinking model from the point of view of faculty members. This study adopted a correlational descriptive methodology. The sample of the study consisted of (345) faculty members selected using stratified random sampling. To achieve the objectives of the study, two instruments were employed after both validity and reliability were verified. These were Leadership Behavior Styles Scale and Hermann Thinking Styles Scale. Abstract:

The study aimed to identify the sources of the authority of academic leaders in Jordanian universities from the viewpoint of the faculty members working with them. A random stratified sample was chosen, consisting of (384) faculty members. The survey descriptive methodology was used, and a questionnaire consisting of (27) items, distributed in (6) fields, was used. Its validity and reliability were confirmed. The study aimed at identifing the status quo of the administrative performance of the academic leaders at Jordanian public universities based on leadership personal power model. The researchers employed the descriptive survey method and developed a questionnaire to collect data from the study sample which consisted of 269 academic leaders and 510 faculty members from three public Jordanian universities; Yarmouk University, University of Jordan and Mu'tah University. The study aimed at determining the degree of academic leaderships at King Abd Al- azeez University for governance from the faculty members perspectives. The study sample consisted of (323) teaching staff members randomly selected from the study population consisting of (3057) teaching staff members from King Abd Al- azeez University. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire of (30) items was developed. Findings revealed that the academic leaders governance practice at King AbdAl- azeez University was high in all items according to the faculty members perspectives.

The study aimed at identifying the reality of the professional performance of academic leaders at Jordanian public universities. In order to achieve the goal of the study, a questionnaire was developed consisting of (75) paragraphs which their validity and reliability were confirmed.
