The purpose of this study was to understand (a) the correlation between a positive/negative North Carolina Facilitated Assessment of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (NC FAM-S) score with student achievement and student discipline, and (b) if the years of experience of the teachers at the school affect the NC FAM-S score. The study is grounded in the theory of implementation science and evaluation frameworks as it relates to the understanding of initiative implementation and the evaluation of initiative implementation efforts. This study was designed to examine the instructional modifications teachers use with students who have been diagnosed with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It determined teacher perceptions of students with ADHD and the impact those perceptions had on participants’ implementation of instructional modifications designed for students diagnosed with ADHD. This study also considered what effect instructional modifications have on the academic achievement of students diagnosed with ADHD within the context of a traditional high school mathematics classroom. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact professional learning community (PLC) implementation and collegial trust have at the organizational level and the effect these elements have on the positive school culture that nurtures academic achievement in select rural Title I elementary schools located in southeastern North Carolina. The purpose of this study was to (a) relate the impact of the development of student voice in middle school to the perception of achievement measured by self-efficacy and (b) explore how the transformative learning theory affects developing adolescents through the development of student voice in a project-based learning model. The theory is grounded in Mezirow’s (1991) Transformative Learning Theory.
