This research reviewed authentic leadership and learning-related outcomes at workplace from the perspective of adult education/learning. Over the past decade, authentic leadership has been investigated only from performance-oriented perspective at workplace, despite its learning-oriented concept and component. Therefore, this research provided new insight and direction into the field of adult education/learning at workplace through integrated literature review of authentic leadership.

An analysis of research suggests that ethnic/racial group members lack informal access to developmental opportunities in the workplace. Legal scholars critique Title VII law as ineffective in current organizations. Research shows the work of adult educators is critical in fighting discrimination in the absence of effective legal protection.

This phenomenological research explored the nature of seniors’ employment. Findings focused on seniors’ motivations for continuing employment, barriers and coping mechanisms, generational differences, the role of self-directed learning, and the effect of age, status, and experience on security and capital in the workplace.
