Outcomes and Impact Quarterly

Many agriculture producers are seeking help to combat stress, mental illness, and suicide. Although some resources exist, there is a gap in resources specific to mental health in rural farm and ranch life. In response, Utah State University (USU) Extension developed a mental health education course to address stressors within agriculture.

Transforming A Mental Health Camp From Hands-On To Virtual, Zurishaddai Garcia

Outcomes and Impact Quarterly

A virtual version of the Davis County annual youth Camp Thrive was developed and implemented due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Youth interns were hired to guide the transition process. Evaluation results show that the camp was successful in the online format for teaching mental health awareness concepts to youth.
