There are currently many Chinese speakers studying and working in the United States. Some of them find English pronunciation to be very challenging. The Guidebook is meant to be a tool for the teachers of Chinese speaking ESL students. English language instruction in China is often teacher centered, with the instructor lecturing and students taking notes. Most classes do not focus on communicative skills. Relational Social Justice Identity Development Among Chinese International High School Students, Christine J. Yeh, Suellen Lee, Leyla Pérez-Gualdrón

This research explored the development of a social justice orientation and identity in a sample of high school students in Hong Kong. A sample of 12 students, four teachers, the Principal, and the School Counselor were interviewed in depth about the roles of community service, service learning, and social justice in their identities and school activities.
