This study was conducted on the differences between male and female principals in their disciplinary and control roles vis-a-vis their violation of students' rights in the administration of secondary schools in Rivers State. The study is an opinion survey and inferential in nature. A population of 300 principals was used for the study. A sample size of 76 principals was determined through the stratified random sampling technique which represented 25% ofthepopulation. Theinstrumentused forthegeneration ofdataforthestudywas "TheDifferencesbetweenMaleandFemalePrincipalsin TheirDisciplinary andControlRoles'Questionnaires (DPDCRQ) with a reliability coefficient of 0.65. The study of the influence of family social status on secondary Students Academic Achievement', was aimed at determining the effect of parental involvement on student's academic performance. It is a descriptive survey. One hundred students were involved in the study. They were drawn from five (5) secondary schools in Gokana Local Government Area (GOLGA) of Rivers State.
