The purpose of this research project is to provide absentee fathers of prekindergarten and first grade children with a familiar reading and writing tool, the postcard, to stay connected with one another regardless of the physical distance between them. This project's collection of postcards featuring authentic children's artwork and research based information for fathers, has been inspired by the research-based principles of Best Practice (Zemelman, S., Daniels, H., & Hyde, A., 1998).
