Layout tools are instruments used by man to transfer his calculations to the material he wishes to work, in this case, wood. These tools are closely interwoven with the historical changes made in organized society, and they are used in measuring, depicting and testing operations. For man to develop these tools effectively, it was necessary that he have a system of numbering and an organized method of measurement.
