To guide this study, the following hypotheses were established: 1. The employment of content area writing exercises in the Information Technologies Pathways course will result in increased retention of basic computer knowledge and concepts; 2. The employment of content area writing exercises in the Information Technologies Pathways course will result in an increased percentage of students achieving passing scores on the CompTIA A+ Certification practice examination.
