It was the purpose of this study (1) to survey the administrators of the "Double A" high schools in the State of Washington to determine the amount of time boys' physical education, health, and lifetime sports is offered, and (2) to determine the number of individual activities offered in physical education and the time spent in each.

It was the purpose of this study to identify teachers' attitudes concerning the decision-making procedures as well as their assessment of existing practices of school operations in their respective districts regarding (1) curriculum, (2) materials and equipment, and (3) personnel. Knowledge of these attitudes could be of considerable value to a school administrator when making decisions, evaluating his present program, and establishing school procedures concerning the aforementioned areas.

It was the purpose of this study (1) to determine the various causes of student dropouts in the beginning band program; (2) to examine the relation of statistics collected between five elementary schools; (3) to analyze, in particular, various student responses as well as aptitude factors as causes for dropouts; and (4) to compare the results with other selected related studies.

It is the opinion of this writer that a teacher's attitude toward his building principal greatly affects his ability to perform in the classroom. If he is receiving the assistance he deserves and needs, his chances of success and continuance in the teaching field are greatly enhanced. This is especially true in the case of the beginning teacher who faces the innumerable problems inherent in teaching for the first time.
