The unknown author of this 1846 publication asks the question: “Would the invasion and conquest of Mexico by the United States … be right?” A series of questions surrounding the annexation of Texas and the justification for going to war against Mexico are asked and answered. They included, in part: Is the war right? Is it expedient? Was the revolution of Texas right? Was the annexation of Texas right?
