The purpose of the study was to explore global competence-based pedagogy in higher education. Under the umbrella of cultural capital theory and internationalization framework, a systematic literature review analyzed and synthesized 26 empirical studies pertaining to global competence education in postsecondary education from 2013 to 2022. The review revealed a research gap highlighting the lack of exploration into global competence pedagogy among students in higher vocational education. Research has revealed the effects that peer bullying has on LGBTQ+ students in public schools. This project focuses on the prevention of LGBTQ+ student bullying. This is done by teaching school policy makers and educators in understanding LGBTQ+ issues for the development of a positive school climate where everyone should thrive. The incorporation of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and Minority Stress theory created a method for understanding and interpreting the research compiled. This qualitative study was designed to record the history of a significant event in agricultural education in Georgia, the 2020 Vision for Agricultural Education in Georgia, which was in response to the Reinventing Agricultural Education for the Year 2020 initiative from the National Council for Agricultural Education in 1996. A steering committee was made up of agricultural educators and industry partners. Eleven themes were identified by the steering committee. The steering committee took the eleven themes and created goals and strategies for the 2020 Vision for Agricultural Education in Georgia. Students with disabilities (SWD) face an unfavorable employment future because many drop out of school at a disproportionate rate. The employment outlook for SWD who graduate from high school is also a concern because current studies show that only about half of them find jobs. In addition, most jobs they do find are entry level and low paying. One predictor of post-secondary success is career awareness. The purpose of this study was first to develop a curriculum especially designed for teaching career awareness of SWD and then to test its effects with a pretest-posttest randomized trial. Wamba (2012) said, “...literacy education plays an important role in moving people out of poverty toward greater self-sufficiency post-graduation” (p. 109). Nearly 47% of first-time California community college students are enrolled in remedial English coursework (Student Success, 2015). Further, California high school dropout rates are at 11% due to “school-related reasons…implying a lack of engagement and lack of perceived relevance” in curriculum (Gottfried & Plasman, 2017, p. 30). Literacy in our high school classrooms must be addressed.

The problem was that the Brigance Inventory of Essential Skills gives a good assessment of skills a student possesses, but it does not provide activities or materials necessary to teach the objectives. A special education teacher who instructs a wide range of students with different handicapping conditions could benefit from an assessment tool that coordinates objectives with activities and materials.
