This study was designed to measure attitudinal interactions of selected vocational school teachers and students concerning grades and attendance, school policy problems, at a Technical Vocational Institute. This was done in an attempt to determine whether students and teachers viewed themselves and existing attendance and grading policy as constants or variables. It was assumed that those receiving scores indicating they considered themselves constants would be more likely to support the existing policy while those receiving scores indi­cating they considered themselves variables would be more likely to desire a policy change.

It was the purpose of this study (1) to examine the literature on differentiated staffing; (2) to determine the status of differentiated staffing in the first class districts of Washington State; (3) to compare the authorities' description of differentiated staffing to an actual pilot program implemented in Washington; (4) to determine the attitude of the certificated staff towards differentiated staffing in each building included in the study; (5) to determine if teachers and administrators in the buildings included in the study felt the differentiated staffing utilization of teachers improved instruction significantly more than was the case under traditional staffing; (6) …

Some have investigated health and safety misconceptions, while others have reported various testing procedures. Studies involving all populations {general public, elementary, secondary, and college students) have pointed out existing inadequacies in health knowledge and the prevalence of health misconceptions. The study identified only the New Mexico writers of children's books who claimed the state as their place of residence while writing their books. This study investigated the effect of the Central Washington State College pre-planned quarter on prospective teacher's attitudes toward pupil-teacher relations. For this study, "attitudes toward pupil-teacher relations" was operationally defined as the score gained on the Minnesota Teacher Attitude Inventory. A key concept introduced by the Pre-Professional Preparation Program at Central Washington State College (in addition to the group living concept) was the actual classroom experience afforded the participants. The Vocational Amendments of 1968 have given impetus to work-study programs of various types for the possible retention of these students.

This thesis proposes to develop a one-year sculpture program for high school art students. The intention is to present a reference and guide for those teachers interested in establishing their own sculpture program. Justifications for the course are discussed, including the importance of experiencing three-dimensional forms for any student interested in the visual experiences of life - be it nature or the man-made environment. A study designed: (1) to determine whether the building level Role Definition produced by the ad hoc Joint Standards Committee was representative of the roles performed by the media personnel, and (2) to determine the role duties of district media personnel. The study showed the Role Definition to be representative and the district level proposal emphasizing administrative and coordinative responsibilities. It was recommended a future study be conducted to further the knowledge of the role/duties of district media personnel.
