The element of change is an ever-present factor of our American society, and this is reflected in our system of public school education. The fact that our society has become science oriented has greatly accelerated this rate of change in our school curriculum. The question, "Should music be given a share of the school day along with English, physics, and social sciences?" is being asked with increasing frequency.
