Initial Teacher Education (ITE) is a critical arena for advancing inclusion in Health and Physical Education (HPE). This paper reports research that is engaging with the diversity of the HPE profession and practitioners. It centres on a unique case study that critically explored the school-based professional experience of an Australian secondary HPE Pre-service Teacher (PsT) who has a hearing impairment. Specifically, to enable PST success in HPE professional experiences as defined by the professional standards for teachers in Australia and to which, PSTs’ must evidence to graduate and attain teacher registration. Initial teacher education plays an important role in preparing music teachers for schools. There is a growing interest in Chinese music teacher education, though limited research currently exists. This study investigated early-career teachers’ perspectives concerning the efficacy of the initial music teacher education program at Yu Cai Normal University (pseudonym), China. This mixed-methods study used a sequential explanatory design where qualitative interview data were used to provide further explanation and detail regarding survey results. This paper provides a contribution and opening to the special issue Realising curriculum possibilities: From creative readings to transformative practice. It firstly considers and expands upon issues and concepts that were foregrounded in the special issue call for papers and that variously feature in subsequent contributions within it. This is partially the result ofthe determination of the Vietnamese government to improve education quality nationwide at all levels. The National Conference 'Learning My Way' has made a significant contribution to the promotion of issues concerning Aboriginal adult learning styles. Staff at the Department of Aboriginal and lntercultural Studies at the Western Australian College of Advanced Education co-ordinated the input. They were responsible for taking ideas beyond the embryonic stage and shaping these into a conference format.

An enclave is the territory of a minority group found contained within the territory of a larger group. When the first enclave was started at Mount Lawley College in 1976, it was seen as a place where Aboriginal students could retreat from the hustle and bustle of College life to be with people they felt comfortable with, and refresh themselves for return to the wider world again. In view of the policy of the Connnission on Advanced Education not to support a fout' year preservice preparation for primary school teachers, this submission presents the proposed Bachelor of Education degree as a five year program comprising three phases:

(i) A three year full-time pre-service teacher education program leading to the award of Diploma of Teaching (UG2);

(ii) a minimum of one year successful in-field teaching experience;

(iii) a one year full-time or equivalent part-time program leading to the award of Bachelor of Education (UG1).
