A primary mission of universities is promoting student success and well-being. Many college and university personnel have implemented initiatives that offer students the documented benefits of positive human-animal interaction (HAI). Accumulating evidence suggests that assistance dogs, therapy dogs, and shelter dogs can support student wellness and learning. There is a paucity of literature on the role of OT for veterans in transition to school, and the literature that is available has not been systematically reviewed. This makes it difficult for OT practitioners to address the needs of veterans in transition from military service to school.

COVID has created hardships in the lives of many persons. In a time of chaos, it was clear our institution needed an efficient workflow to track all students requiring quarantine, so that academic progress and student wellness would not be casualties.

This presentation reviews that workflow in detail, for the purpose of sharing strengths of the process for the greater GSA/OSR network’s benefit.
