The Effects Of An Instructional Package On Study Question Completion Skills Of High School Students, Jeffery David Montgomery

The purpose of this study was to empirically evaluate the effects of an instructional package on study question behaviors. The instructional package, incorporating contingent reinforcement, modeling, feedback, contingency contracting and a programmed instruction format was implemented to train four study question answering behaviors identified through task analysis. Each subject demonstrated ability to perform the four behaviors with increased accuracy on experimental measures following training. Results indicated that the instructional package was effective in training increased accuracy in each instructional behavior for each subject. The Cost To And The Public Relation Effects Of Federal Education Dollars To The Local School District, Raymond L. Cooper

The costs and public effects of using federal vocational education dollars in the local school district were studied. Twenty-five Washington school districts were randomly selected. Financial data were compiled and a survey distributed to these schools. The results showed increased use of federal vocational monies resulted in increased local administration, as school size decreased use of federal monies decreased, smaller schools spend more money per student, and local advisory committees feel that vocational education needs federal monies.

This research proposes to identify the range of knowledge and attitudes among kindergarten teachers toward childrens' sexual behaviors.

The following behaviors are addressed:

1. Masturbation

2. Heterosexual play

3. Homosexual play

4. Questions related to sexuality.

The purpose of this research was to investigate relationships that may exist between the supervisorial style and conceptual level of university supervisors and the student teachers supervised. The primary thrust of the investigation was an analysis of the match of style and conceptual level of supervisor and students. This analysis resulted in data concerning the influence of the match on supervisor effectiveness. The total population of the study included 187 student teachers and 37 supervisors at two university sites in California. Problem. This study addressed the problem of how small Christian institutions of higher education may best organize and manage their fund-raising programs to maximize alumni support. The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze what would be the best strategy in working with alumni.

Method. An experimental design was used with a pre-test/post-test control group. Six different treatments for stimulating alumni giving were studied: "Dear Friend" letter, telethon, personalized letter, gimmick letter, incentive letter, and personal visitation. Problem. The role of the school principal is paramount in the operation of a school system, and affective behavior is an essential part of that role. It was the purpose of the study to determine if a discrepancy exists between the self-perceptions of principals as affective educators and their actual performance.

Method. Thirty-two school principals, their superintendents, and a sampling of their teachers were studied. The self-perceptions of the principals were identified concerning eight affective traits and eight school-climate factors. The superintendent and teachers evaluated their principal's performance on these traits and factors.

This paper surveyed the training methods used to develop student leadership at Bremerton Junior High School, and presents exercises and activities adapted for use by Middle Schools for providing student leadership training.

Results of the study indicate that training methods at Bremerton Junior High were viewed by parents and teaching staff as providing positive learning experiences for the students. Students reported their experiences to be valuable in several key areas: communication, assertiveness, and gaining a better understanding of the key concept of leadership.
