The Union Budget (2015- 16) has subsidized the corporate sector by providing tax reductions and sops. The phased reduction of corporate tax has made the richer sections of the economy jubilant. The burden of indirect taxes is going to break the back of poor women. Macro-economic measures proposed in the budget are detrimental to the working class and the marginalized sections of the economy. Special measures will be taken to eliminate discrimination, universalize education, eradicate illiteracy, create a gender-sensitive educational system, increase enrolment and retention rates of girls and improve the quality of education to facilitate life-long learning as well as development of occupation/vocation/technical skills by women. A standard natural rights argument for libertarianism is based on the labor theory of property: the idea that I own my self and my labor, and so if I "mix" my own labor with something previously unowned or to which I have a have a right, I come to own the thing with which I have mixed by labor.
